Kremena's bank account earns 4.5% simple interest. How much must she deposit in the account today if she wants it to be worth $1
12345 [234]

Answer:

$1,101.32

Explanation:

Simple interest accounts balances are calculated using the following formula

A = P ( 1 + rt)

where:

A = final account balance

P = starting balance

r = interest rate (annually) percentage divided by 100

t = years

Therefore, we can plug in the values provided in this formula and solve for P which would be the amount that Kremena needs to deposit.

1,250 = P ( 1 + (0.045 * 3))

1,250 = P * 1.135  ... divide both sides by 1.135

1,101.32 = P

Finally, we can see that Kremena would need to deposit a total of $1,101.32 to have the amount that she wants after 3 years.

Presented below is information from Perez Computers Incorporated. July 1 Sold $20,000 of computers to Robertson Company with ter
Advocard [28]

Answer:

A journal is provided as an attachment to record the entries for Perez Computers.

Explanation:

The gross method of cash discounts assumes that the customer will not take advantage of the offered discount.  It therefore records the sale in full without netting off the discount element.  This was done in the answer.

When Robertson paid within 10 days, the 3% cash discount was allowed since payment was received within the terms of 15 days.

For The Clark Store, there was no discount because payment was received later than the allowed 10 days.

How did the extra, one-time payment of $100 affect the total interest Janet pays on the loan?
Shkiper50 [21]

Amortization simply means the practice of spreading the cost of an intangible asset over the useful life of the asset.

Your question is incomplete as you didn't provide the amortization table. Therefore, an overview of amortization will be given.

It should be noted that amortization is usually expensed on a straight-line basis. In such a case, the same amount will be expensed for every period over the life of the asset.

For example let's assume that Janet borrows $2000 at 4% for 2 years. The interest that will be paid will be:

= $2000 × 4% × 2

= $2000 × 0.04 × 2

= $160

The interest here is $160. Based on the question, since $100 has been paid, it should lead to a lower interest that will be paid on the loan.
