-Each organism plays a particular role in its ecosystem. A niche is the role a species plays in the ecosystem. A niche will include the organism's role in the flow of energy through the ecosystem.

-The habitat is the physical area where a species lives, it is described by the abiotic (non living) factors such as climate, sunlight etc. and the biotic factors (living factors).
