An army of orcs has marched upon King Amit's stronghold, setting up camp a safe distance away (or so they think!). What the orcs

don’t know is that the king and his engineers have spent the past decade developing advanced catapulting technology. King Amit has created a map to help him compute the distance from each of his two best catapults to the enemy orc camp (shown below). To what distance should King Amit calibrate catapult B to fire?

The interior angles of any triangle add up to 180º in measure, which means the missing angle has measure

180º - 96º - 58º = 26º

By the law of sines, we have

(145 m)/sin(26º) = ?/sin(96º)

==>  ? = sin(96º)/sin(26º) (145 m) = 328.96 m

What is the length of the line segment between A(–5, 8) and B(7, 8)? (1 point) • 2 units • 3 units • 12 units • 13 units
salantis [7]
The y-coordinates are the same, so the length of this horizontal line segment is the difference between the x-coordinates.

Length = 7 - (-5) = 12 units

Drag the tiles to the boxes to form correct pairs. Not all tiles will be used.
jonny [76]

Answer:

∠13 ≅ ∠16   - Vertical Angles Theorem

∠10 ≅ ∠14  - corresponding angles for parallel line p and q cut by the transversal s

∠5 ≅ ∠13  - corresponding angles for

parallel lines r and s cut by

the transversal q

∠1 ≅ ∠5 - corresponding angles for

parallel lines r and s cut by

the transversal q

Step-by-step explanation:

Linear Pair Theorem won't be used. When you look at the lines on the image you see that 13 and 16 are vertical from each other making there answer the vertical angles theorem. When you look at 10 and 14 you see that they lie on p and q with s going in the center of them. When you look at 5 and 13 they lie on s and r with q going down the middle of them. With 1 and 5  they also lie on p  and q but r goes down the center of them instead of s.
