There would be 5184 ways in which each subject books can be selected.

Explanation:

Number of geography books = 5

Number of chemistry books = 4

Number of Science books = 7

Different ways of selecting geography books = 5!

                                                                            = 5 X 4 X 3 X 2 X 1

                                                                            = 120

Different ways of selecting chemistry books = 4!

                                                                          = 4 X 3 X 2 X 1

                                                                          = 24

Different ways of selecting Science books = 7!

                                                                       = 7 X 6 X 5 X 4 X 3 X 2 X 1

                                                                       = 5040

Total different possible ways they can select them = 120 + 24 + 5040

                                                                                     = 5184

Show your work
4(2x - 6) = 10x - 6
Elden [556K]

4.(2x - 6) = 10x - 6

4.2x - 4.6 = 10x - 6

8x - 24 = 10x - 6

-24 + 6 = 10x - 8x

-18 = 2x

x = -9

The points (6,8) and (5,5) fall on a particular line.
Doss [256]

Answer:

y=3x-10

Step-by-step explanation:

To find equation of the line passing through points

and A(xa, ya) and B(xb, yb)

, we use formula: y-ya = yb-ya/xb-xa (x-xa)

In this example we have xa=

6 ,ya=

8 , xb=5

and yb=5

. So,

y-ya= yb-ya / xb-xa (x-xa)

y-8 = 5-8/ 5-6 (x-6)

y-8= 3(x-6)

y-8= 3x-18

y-8= 3x-10

y = 3x - 10
