What will happen to a cell that is placed in a solution containing a high concentration of sugar, a molecule that cannot pass ac
UNO [17]

Answer:

The cell will shrink.

Explanation:

Water moves from an area which is having a low concentration of solute to an area that is having a high concentration solute through a biological membrane and this movement of water is called osmosis.

So when a cell is placed in a solution which is having high sugar concentration than the water from the cell will move towards the high solute concentration that means water will move out of the cell which will cause the shrinking of cell.

Therefore cell will shrink if it is placed in a solution containing high sugar concentration.

Are Potassium hydroxide, Cesium hydroxide and Calcium hydroxide weak bases, strong bases, or acids
VladimirAG [237]

Strong bases

Explanation:

KOH, CsOH and Ca(OH)₂ are all strong bases because they dissociate completely in aqueous solution.

A base is a substance that produces excess hydroxyl ions in aqueous solutions.

Strong bases would dissociate completely when in solution.

Bases of alkali and alkali earth metals are classified as strong because they exhibit full ionic characteristics.

They give full metals ions and hydroxide in solution.

AnnyKZ [126]

The answer is; obesity can cause diabetes

It is believed that obesity caused stress on the body cells making them produce cytokines, proinflammatory markers that make them resistant to insulin. Obesity can also impair the beta-islets cells of the liver that produce insulin. All these make the body's response to glucose levels unregulated causing diabetes.
