History

Ierofanga [76]3 years ago

Answer:

Like ingredients in a salad, individuals can contribute to the whole while maintaining their own cultural identity

Explanation:

When you see a melting pot, the ingredients most of the time have had to loose their characteristics and merge with the whole in order to create something new they are put through boiling water, but in a salad every ingredient can come as it is and make it better and more beautiful, that is why the metaphor has been changed to give space in the metaphor for everyone to keep their culture and still add to the whole.

What were the main ideas that the Constitution borrowed from these other documents?...
Nitella [24]

Answer:

Both have important predecessors—our Constitution was influenced by the Magna Carta and the English Bill of Rights of 1689, and the Declaration by John Locke's writings on the consent of the governed and by a document close to home for Thomas Jefferson, the draft version by George Mason of Virginia's Declaration
