it because people should depend on one another especially in specific things
and they are not held together by force because in truth, they are held

None of the other answers apply in this case. I'ts not true of course that Greeks had no interest in the study of their own history, nor are they only famous because the Egyptians recorded their whole history. They did howevre, write a history of their own olympics and how they were performed.
