Andrea because she is the most focused. Tom is acting either immature which is not a good quality in a leader. Whilst Joe is not confident and is acting shy which is also not a good quality for a leader.

I would vote for Andrea because she is being confident in her speech. She is keeping eye contact and smiling, which makes me believe she is excited to be a class president and would do a good job.
Joe seems nervous and not very confident in himself, and Tom isn't respectful of the other candidate's speeches.

What is the function of this sentence in the passage?
Ivahew [28]

Answer:

B. It introduces a new central idea to focus on.

Explanation:

I say this but I didn't read the passage, so excuse me if I'm wrong. It doesn't seem to be A, sense it isn't contrasting a statement. It really could be C as well, but this seems to be something it would focus on. It could not be D because it is not a concluding sentence, it would leave the passage in an awkward state. This is why I say B.
