1) Queen Isabella married Ferdinand II of Aragon in 1469
2) She succeeded Juana and became Queen of Castile in 1479. 
With Isabella as Queen of Castile and her husband, Ferdinand II, King of Aragon, they rule both kingdom and unified Spain.
3) Queen Isabella I and King Ferdinand II organized the Spanish Inquisition for the purpose of purifying Catholicism in Spain. They exiled Jews, Muslims, and all others who did not convert to Christianity, away from Spain.
4) The Royal couple also funded the voyages of Christopher Columbus who will give all the land he will discover to the Kingdom of Castile, under the rule of Queen Isabella.
5) Queen Isabella was an advocate for education. She taught her children. She became the patron of many scholars and of the arts. She established educational institutes, as well as, a large art collection.
