In 2016, North Carolina was the third-largest producer of electricity generated from solar photovoltaics (PV) among the states. In 2017, a wind farm with 208 megawatts of capacity came online in North Carolina. It is the largest wind farm in the Southeast. Advantage: The wind is an inexhaustible resource, that is, it is a renewable energy. It is a clean, non-polluting energy. The main disadvantage of wind energy is our inability to control the wind. Being a less predictable energy can not be used as the sole source of electricity generation.  2.- 4 human impacts: The destruction and salinization of the soil, contamination by pesticides and fertilizers, deforestation or the loss of genetic biodiversity.3.- the human activity that most affects the stability of the mountain slopes is the felling and burning, ecocide that generates pollution. The prohibition of such acts, the criminalization and the use of other resources can help to avoid them.4.- The natural process that is having negative effects on the north carolina coasts is the great erosion and other damages produced by the waves, the solution is the construction of piers, vertical structures, built parallel to the coast of the ocean, and designed mainly to avoid erosion and other damage due to the action of the waves.5.- avoid deforestation, avoid agricultural expansion, and establish strategies for conservation are 3 things that can be done by citizens to avoid the negative impacts of river basins.6.-Water quality refers to the 4 characteristics: chemical, physical, biological and radiological water, for humans, animals or plants, the levels of each of these characteristics must be different, animals and plants tolerate certain components or elements more than humans.7.-Sustainable agriculture is one that, in the long term, contributes to improve the environmental quality and the basic resources on which agriculture depends, satisfies the basic needs of fiber and human food, is economically viable and improves the quality of life of the producer and the whole society.Crop rotation and diversity can be two examples.
8.-Aquaculture is the cultivation of aquatic organisms both in coastal areas and in the interior that involves interventions in the breeding process to increase production. It is probably the fastest growing food production sector and now accounts for 50 percent of the fish destined for food worldwide. its response to the world population is favorable because it has helped to reduce malnutrition rates worldwide.
9.-Population growth is one of the dominant features of the twentieth century. To a world population of more than six billion people, every year a hundred million more are added, of course the rate of growth 700 years ago was very low, even though there were no contraceptive methods, the population did not worry about reproducing as it does it today, 700 - 800 years ago, others factors interfered with the growth, weather, wars, feeding, are just a little example of it.
10.- the uncontrolled growth of the population brings with it negative impacts, one of them is more environmental pollution, the migratory phenomenon and the economic impact for the countries where this phenomenon happens.

Gwar [14]

The correct option is (D) |x - 30| < 20.

<h3>What is stratosphere?</h3>

A part of the atmosphere on Earth is called the stratosphere. As you ascend, it is the second layer of the atmosphere.

The stratosphere is immediately followed by the lowest layer, the troposphere. The mesosphere is the stratosphere's superior layer after that.

Calculation for the inequalities given for the stratosphere layer:

According to the question,

The stratosphere is the layer of the Earth's atmosphere that is more

than 10 kilometers (km) and less than 50 km above the Earth's surface.

Consider option D.

|x - 30| < 20

The two cases for the modulus function will be-

Case 1: For positive value of modulus function.

+ (x - 30) < 20

x - 30 < 20

x < 20 + 30

x  < 50; which satisfies the condition the stratosphere is the layer less than 50 km above the Earth's surface.

Case 2: For the negative value of modulus function:

- (x - 30) < 20

- x + 30 < 20

30 - 20 < x

10 < x (or)

x > 10; which satisfies the condition the stratosphere is the layer is more

than 10 kilometers (km) .

Based on what you know of the current government, and political parties, do you feel that George Washington was correct in warni
Bess [88]

Answer:

Explanation:

His warning wasn't strong enough although he understood corruption very well.

What he was basically saying is that if the American Colonies did not rule themselves well and honestly they would go down the drain just as Athens did.

Democracy and Freedom are not words on a piece of paper. They must be lived well and attended to every day by all citizens. It is not disagreement that destroys a democracy. It is not listening carefully when someone with an opposing opinion voices it.

There has not been so much hatred in the United States since the Civil War.

If you lived at latitude 45 degrees on uranus, for what fraction of a uranian year would the longest winter night last?
Eddi Din [679]
If you are in Uranus with an titled angle of 97.77°, living in the latitude 45° would mean experiencing a winter night at almost one third of a Uranian year. A year in Uranus is equivalent to 84 earth years, meaning it would be winter for 28 earth year at latitude 45°

Answer the following:
Black_prince [1.1K]

1. A) carnivore; third

The trophic levels are divided by the manner in which the energy is produced and consumed among the living organisms. The first trophic level is occupied by the autotrophs, which are the organisms that are able to produce their own food. The second trophic level is occupied by the organisms that feed upon the autotrophs, thus they are the herbivores, as well as the omnivores in partial sense. In this case we will have the ants at the second level. The third trophic level is reserved for the organisms that feed upon the organisms of the second trophic level, thus they are predators. In this case, we will have the wasp in the third trophic level.

2. B) consumption; 20

If there are herbivores and plants, the plants account for 1,000 kg in biomass, and the herbivores eat 200 kg of them, then the consumption is 20% of the total biomass. This kind of a scenario is able to support the whole population of herbivores without any problem, as there is much more food than they need. It will only become a problem if the population of herbivores starts to grow exponentially, and they start to consume all of the food and even require more, the population will collapse.

3. C) N20

The processes and nitrification and denitrification are very common, both in nature, and because of the human activity. The human activity has actually increased this process significantly. The main product of the nitrification-denitrification is the N2O. It is a vital product for the nitrogen cycle, and it is one that is increasing the atmospheric temperature, thus too much of it is not of best interest for anyone.
