Answer;

Assassination of President Garfield

Explanation;

President Garfield was shot by Charles J. Guiteau at 9:30 am, in Washington, D.C. less than four months into Garfield's term as the 20th President of the United States. Garfield died eleven weeks later on September 19, 1881. His Vice President, Chester A. Arthur, succeeded Garfield as President.

One factor that encouraged president Arthur to pursue the civil service reform was the fact that President Garfield was shot by a crazed office seeker who thought he was owed a government job due to his support for Garfield in the election.

The assassination of James A. Garfield made it possible for the new president and longtime political spoilsman, Chester Arthur, to combat the patronage system's excesses.

Nuetrik [128]
<span>Historians study a number of things when attempting to make connections between ancient civilizations and the culture of today. Often including such things as social trends, literature, and media of the time. Anthropology includes the knowledge from nearly every possible academic sphere, from the sciences to the humanities of a given topic.  Anthropology, is in short, the study of mankind from ancient times to the "modern" cultures of now. The reason for such studies taking place is to hopefully learn from the past and improve our current state as a society.

Which of these served as the government of the united states when the american revolution came to an end?
sergeinik [125]

Answer:

C. The articles of confederation

Explanation:

The Articles of Confederation and Perpetual Union was the first written constitution of the United States. Written in 1777 and stemming from wartime urgency, its progress was slowed by fears of central authority and extensive land claims by states. It was not ratified until March 1, 1781. Under these articles, the states remained sovereign and independent, with Congress serving as the last resort on appeal of disputes. Significantly, The Articles of Confederation named the new nation “The United States of America.” Congress was given the authority to make treaties and alliances, maintain armed forces and coin money. However, the central government lacked the ability to levy taxes and regulate commerce, issues that led to the Constitutional Convention in 1787 for the creation of new federal laws under The United States Constitution.
