Nile river valley presents very good conditions for farming since millennia, due to the natural fertilizers provided by the Nile river that soaks the entire area. Today Egypt produces cotton, rice, sugarcane, onions, tobacco, beans among other crops, all of them cultivated in the Nile river valley.

Northern coast in Tunisia, Algeria, and Morocco, also have good farmlands, thanks to the properties of the soil and the good weather conditions such as the humidity due to the proximity with the Mediterranean Sea.
