by observing and reporting on government corruption, the media can inform the public of wrongdoing and influence officials to behave appropriately

Explanation:

Watchdogs are an individual or group that monitors the activities of another entity (such as an individual, corporation, non-profit group, or governmental organization) on behalf of the public to ensure that entity does not behave illegally or unethically: Consumer watchdog, consumer protection organizations or campaigners.  Media does it by reporting corruption or unethical behavior to the public.

While jews were a main target of the nazis which other group was also a target?
andre [41]

Apart from Jews, Roma people (gypsies) were also a target of Nazi Germany.

While most of those sentenced to death in the gas chambers of the Nazi concentration camps during World War II were Jews, these were not the only ones who suffered this condemnation. Gypsies, homosexuals, the mentally ill and psychic and physical handicapped were other groups affected by deportations and death sentences in the concentration camps.

What are Ghettos and why were they set-up for the Jews?
mash [69]

Answer:

During the Holocaust, the creation of ghettos was a key step in the Nazi process of brutally separating, persecuting, and ultimately destroying Europe's Jews. Jews were forced to move into the ghettos, where living conditions were miserable. Ghettos were often enclosed districts that isolated Jews from the non-Jewish population and from other Jewish communities.

What was part of President Johnson's plan for Reconstruction?
Aliun [14]

Answer:

On the evening of April 14, 1865, President Lincoln was killed by a southern fanatic: as a result Johnson became president of the United States.

The new president tried to carry out Lincoln's plan, that is to reconstruct the South and pacify its souls in the name of national harmony, but he did not have the energy and prestige of his predecessor and suffered numerous attacks by the Radical Republicans of the North, such as Edwin McMasters Stanton and Thaddeus Stevens. His plan also clashed with that of the Congress, largely dominated by Radical Republicans, who wanted to punish the Southern states and subject them to military control, as well as to constitute a solid electoral base for the party with the support of the African American population.

At the end of the Civil War, in fact, Johnson was able only to promulgate an amnesty for the participants in the secession and to propose to the Congress the appointment of a commission for the reconstruction of the South. However, Johnson clashed several times with the Congress, placing the presidential veto on numerous laws that he said could have exacerbated the souls of the Southerners, often without success.
