First find the answer without decimals
√225= 15

2.25 has two decimal places, so therefore the square root must contain 1 decimal place.
√2.25= 1.5

Final answer: 1.5
ps -1.5 is also correct but I'm not sure if that's what your teacher wants.

The product of 2 consecutive positive odd integers is 483. Write the equation that would be used to find x, the smaller integer.
Montano1993 [528]

Answer: 21

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the consecutive odd numbers be represented by x and x+2. Therefore,

x × (x+2) = 483

x² + 2x = 483

x² + 2x - 483 = 0

x² + 23x - 21x - 483 = 0

x(x + 23) - 21(x + 23) = 0

(x - 21) = 0

x = 0 + 21

x = 21

The smaller integer is 21

The larger integer is 21 + 2 = 23.

Will earn $74.38 in interest or for the total $924.38 for the total amount accrued, principal plus interest

Step-by-step explanation:

I = p x rt

Softa [21]

Answer:

(2)(120)(80) + (2)(120)(50) - (4)(60)(5²)

Step-by-step explanation:

The lateral faces of the building are the 4 sides of the building consisting:

2 rectangles of 120 ft by 80 ft

Area of the two rectangular faces = (2)(120)(80)

And

2 rectangles of 120 ft by 50 ft

Area of the two rectangular faces = (2)(120)(50)

✔️Total lateral surface area of the building = (2)(120)(80) + (2)(120)(50)

Note: we are asked to find the expression that represents the total surface area that needs to be painted given that there are 60 windows on each lateral face of the building of the shape of a square with side lengths of 5 ft.

Therefore, the total lateral surface area of the building that will be painted = total lateral surface of the building - total area covered by the 60 windows on each face of the building

Surface area covered by 60 windows in the 4 lateral face of the building = (4)(60)(5²)

✅total lateral surface area of the building that will be painted = (2)(120)(80) + (2)(120)(50) - (4)(60)(5²)
