In the 1900s, there was a strong prejudice against irish immigrants and their descendants. editorial cartoons often depicted the

irish as physically distinct and as looking like apes. what does this tell you about the history of race in the united states? the irish were once considered to be a separate race. racial hostility is permanent. europe has many different racial groups. there must have been significant biological differences between early protestant immigrants from england and holland and catholic immigrants from ireland. ireland must have changed a great deal over the course of the twentieth century.

The correct answer here is the first option.

Unfortunately, the United States does not have a great record when it comes to racism and immigration. The Irish, among other groups, are an example of this unfortunate track record. The Irish were considered by some in the United States to be completely different race than they are and an inferior one at that as they have been portrayed as apes.

Why was the stamp act implemented?
erica [24]

Answer:

Explanation:Paying for the War The French and Indian War was fought between the British American colonies and the French, who had allied with the American Indians. It lasted from 1754 to 1763. The American colonies eventually won the war, but only with the help of the British army. The British government felt that the colonies should share in the expense of the war and help to pay for the British troops in the Americas. The Stamp Act of 1765 was a tax to help the British pay for the French and Indian War. The British felt they were well justified in charging this tax because the colonies were receiving the benefit of the British troops and needed to help pay for the expense. The colonists didn't feel the same.
