A Gis and a lidar is the light ranging and detection mechanism used in the survey of the place and the distant targets are illuminated by the light and are captured by a sensor and thus the returned wavelength is used to make a 3 dimensional model of the earth shortly with the use of the told alike the sensor and the scanner and the orientation of the platform and that may be airborne or terrestrial.
