They adopted Henry Ford's manufacturing techniques

Explanation:

Henry Ford created an innovative manufacturing system which made able to produce more products with less money. Ford’s innovation reduced the time from 12 hours to 2 hours and 30 minutes.

To do so he created the assembly line, moving lines were created for each process of the manufacturing. When manufacturers noticed Ford’s new technique, they started to adopt it a few years later.
