Answer:

overlapping

Step-by-step explanation:

Dilation is a form of transformation where a figure is shrunk or stretched from original size. if dilation factor is less than 1 and greater than 0 then figure shrinks, if dilation factor is greater than 1 then figure is stretches.

Also the center of dilation is fixed point on the plane and most dilations uses origin as point of dilation in coordinate plane.

In given case, dilation factor is 2 i.e. greater than 1 hence the rectangle ABCD will get dilated and if origin is the center of dilation then points on new line will be colliear with the points on line EF.

Hence, the line through the center of the new dilated figure will be overlapping with line EF !

Is 3pi/2pi a rational number or an irrational number? Explain your reasoning
Vadim26 [7]

Answer:

It is rational

Step-by-step explanation:

The pi terms cancel out when you divide. This is due to the rule x/x = 1 where x is any number you want except x cannot be zero. So replace x with pi and we have pi/pi = 1

Therefore,

(3pi)/(2pi) = (3/2)*(pi/pi)

(3pi)/(2pi) = (3/2)*1 .... use the rule mentioned above

(3pi)/(2pi) = 3/2

we get a fraction or a ratio of two whole numbers, so this proves that the given expression is rational.
