vitfil [10]

The Introduction contains statements stating that people have the ability to assume political independence under Natural Law. Followed by the Preamble which contains the summary of the general philosophy of government that justifies a revolution when the government damages natural rights. The Accusation is a list of "repeated insults and usurpations." The Denunciation, speaks of the end of the case of independence. The Conclusion shows that the signatories affirm that there are conditions under which the people must change their government, and it is necessary that the colonies announce their separation and dissolve their ties with the British crown. Firmantes, the first and famous signature in the official version is John Hancock, the president of the Continental Congress. What was the significance of the presidential election 1876
Kisachek [45]
The presidential election of 1876 led to the end of Reconstruction. Samuel Tilden outpolled Rutherford Hayes to win the popular vote. Tilden had 184 electoral votes to Hayes' 165 and 20 votes were uncounted. These 20 electoral votes were in dispute: in Florida, Louisiana, and South Carolina. Each party reported its candidate had won the state, while in Oregon one elector was declared illegal and replaced. The 20 disputed electoral votes were eventually awarded to Hayes after a bitter legal and political battle. This gave Hayes the victory.
