Many of the main characters of the Second Great Awakening were abolitionists, such as Susan B. Anthony who was a woman that campaigned for women’s rights and abolitionism and William Lloyd Garrison, that was an American abolitionist that edited the abolitionist newspaper “The Liberator” and was one of the founders of the American Anti-Slavery Society.
