The final answer should be x = 5 and y = 9 for part 1

Explanation:

1500 - 50(6) = 1200

1200/150 = 8

But since you need it to be greater than 1,500 it would be 9-weekday
 shows instead

the solution x > 12 means the number of weekend shows is greater than 12 i believe

Which table of ordered pairs represents a function?
Veronika [31]

Answer:

Graph on the top right.

Step-by-step explanation:

A function is a relation where one domain value is assigned to exactly one range value.

In a table, there would be no values repeating in the x-column.

The graph on the top right does not repeat any x values. Therefore, it is a function.

Why the other options are not functions:

  • The top left graph has 4 for all it's domain values.
  • The bottom left graph has '-2' repeating for the domain.
  • The graph on the bottom right repeats '0' as the domain.

Hope this helps.

Rodger put $1,000 in a bank account that pays 5% annual simple interest. At the end of four years, how much interest has he earn
Kryger [21]

Answer: He has earned $200 interest and the balance of his account is $1,200.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: Principal : P = $1,000

Simple interest rate : r = 5% = 0.05

Time: t = 4 years

Simple interest = Prt

=1000\times0.05\times4=200

i.e. Simple interest = $200

Balance of account = Principal + Simple interest

=  $1,000 + $200

= $1,200

Hence, he has earned $200 interest and the balance of his account is $1,200.

In the adjoining figure, area of trangle ABC is
Zepler [3.9K]

Answer:

PQ=4\ cm

Step-by-step explanation:

see the attached figure with the letter D to better understand the problem

we know that

The segment side AD is the height of triangle ABC

so

Triangles PBQ and ABD are similar by AA Similarity Theorem

The area of triangle ABC is equal to

A=\frac{1}{2}(BC)(AD)

we have

A=48\ cm^2\\BC=12\ cm

substitute

48=\frac{1}{2}(12)(AD)

AD=8\ cm

Remember that

If two triangles are similar  then the ratio of its corresponding sides is proportional

so

\frac{BP}{AB}=\frac{PQ}{AD}

substitute the given values

\frac{BP}{2BP}=\frac{PQ}{8}

\frac{1}{2}=\frac{PQ}{8}

PQ=4\ cm
