Answer:

Athens and Sparta were rivals, and had some differences in a lot of aspects.

Explanation:

Both cities were important for Greece. One of them (Athens) was considered the center of economy, politics, cultural and finance. On the other way, Sparta was known as the center of arts, democracy and freedom.

The main difference talking about lifestyle was the focus on education, because in Athens young men were not obliged to join the army, and they could get education. On the contrary, people from Sparta were not supossed to be educated but to be concentrated on military training.

In Sparta, boys were given to the barracks so they could be trained since they valued winning wars rather than having educated people.

According to Pericles, how is Athens different from other Greek city-states?
STatiana [176]
The correct answer is Athens has laws that treat all people fairly, regardless of social class.

Athens was the cradle of democracy. There were laws and these laws applied equally to all people and all free people could participate in the democratic process of voting and make new policies that would be designed for the best of the people. This didn't happen in other city-states which were often ruled by single emperors and the class division was great.<span />

larisa [96]

Libel

Publishing false statements knowingly is referred to as libel. This differs from slander which is defamation of character expressed verbally.

Though the US constitution contains an amendment protecting freedom of the press, this amendment does not protect people from false information. The Supreme Court has not allowed people to report false information in particular about individuals that ruin their reputation or defame their character to be protected by the First Amendment.
