Ok for this problem, there are 2 equations representing hall A and hall B

hall A:  y=76x+862 where x=number of dinners and y=total cost

hall B:  y=75x+894 for the same variables

To find where the 2 meet, simply substitute one equation into the other, creating:  76x+862=75x+894

Solving this, we find that x=32, so at 32 guests, the cost would be the same

For part 2, put the answer for part 1 into either equation from the start, so y=76(32)+862, or y=3294

And we already found that x=32, which represents the # of guests

In a group of 28 students, 12 study both Art and Biology.
MAVERICK [17]

Answer:

100%

Step-by-step explanation:

Use conditional probability:

P(B | A) = P(B and A) / P(A)

P(B | A) = (12/28) / P(A)

We need to find the probability that a student studies art.

P(A or B) = P(A) + P(B) − P(A and B)

24/28 = P(A) + (12+12)/28 − 12/28

P(A) = 12/28

P(B | A) = (12/28) / (12/28)

P(B | A) = 1

What this means is that all of the students who study art also study biology.

Determine if the two triangles shown are similar. If so, write the similarity statement.
Ludmilka [50]

Answer:

C. The triangles are not similar

Step-by-step explanation:

For two triangles to be considered similar, the 3 angles of one triangle must be equal or congruent to the corresponding 3 angles of the others.

The only angle in ∆BCG that is equal to the corresponding angles in ∆EFG is <BGC. The remaining 2 angles in ∆BCG are not congruent to the corresponding 2 angles in ∆EFG.

Therefore, we can conclude that both triangles are not similar.
