She was an imagist and wanted everything to be described in vivid sensory detail. She believes that although the gardens are imaginary in poetry, the toads should be described and depicted so thoroughly that they almost seem real and tangible and are vivid.

Answer: Poets have the difficult task of incorporating real emotions and facts into the settings they imagine.

Marianne Moore was part of the imagist movement, and she advocated the use of extremely real elements in the imaginary settings that poetry produces. She believed that the difficult task of the poem was to add these very real themes (the real toads) that resonate will all humans into their fanciful, imaginary worlds (the imaginary gardens). This is the only way in which poetry would become genuine.

What tone would be most appropriate for a PSA about healthy eating? calm motivational commanding joyful
pychu [463]

Answer:

Personally, I wouldn't necessarily say "calm." Instead, a PSA that contains motivational values is far more likely to motivate one to eat healthy foods.

Explanation:

Further more, you could include true stories from individuals who have possibly had eat disorders to accentuate the importance of eating healthy.... That is if you were to make the video/PSA.

The Chinese exclusion act of 1882was primarily a response
notsponge [240]
The Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882 was introduced during a time of high volume immigration by Chinese-Americans. This act was a response to the higher levels of immigrants migrating to the United States. This was also a racist response, put into place after a law banning naturalization of non-white Americans.

After a while, she asked, "Was there really a Noah?"
Elden [556K]

Answer:

O Some people must make decisions that place great burdens on them.

Explanation:

Octavia E. Butler's "The Book of Martha" is a story about a woman named Martha and her desire and plan to help create a perfect world. And in the process, she learned to navigate life as it is, accepting the good and the bad that the world contains.

In the given excerpt, Martha questions God about why He let some live while others are 'fated' to die. This passage shows the moral dilemma of how some people are tasked with decisions that only place more burdens on them.

Thus, the correct answer is the first option.

What is the best way to describe the theme of this poem? The new year begins on a set of old promises. I look at my list crumple
Natalija [7]

Answer:

D. The failures of the past should inspire people to accomplish more in the future.

Explanation:

Author of the poem describes the change we all live through every new year. There is a list of things that we want to achieve, but different events, people, our own characteristics keep us away from it. We know every single line of it by heart and every year we hope and strive that just this year is the one when we will accomplish it all. So the author goes through the same old story and at the very end of it, decides to give it one more try.
