They formed the Women's Peace Party.
The Woman's Peace Party (WPP) was founded in January 1915, in opposition to World War I. This pacifist and feminist group was the first American peace organization to use direct action tactics like public demonstrations. Later it would become the American section of the Committee of Women for Permanent Peace.
