For question 1A. each mug will be 1/9 because 4/9 divide by 4 is 1/9B.  3/9 or 1/3 because 1/9 times 3 is 3/9

For question 2 5/6 divide by 4 equals 5/24. So each plot would be 5/24 km squared. Multiply that by 3 and it would be 15/24. So the answer would be 15/24 km squared if i'm correct.

Hope i helped!!

For question 1 Garson pours 4/9 quarts of milk into 4 mugs. What you would do since 4/9 is filled you would divide how much cups you have and the total amount of milk which is 4 so

4 divided by 4 = 1/9

So, 1/9 quarts of milk was poured into each mug

2x + 2y = -2<br> 3x -2y = 12
PIT_PIT [208]

Answer:

2x + 2y =  - 2 \\ 3x - 2y = 12 \\ now \: add \: both \: equations \\ 2x + 2y + (3x - 2y) =  - 2 + 12 \\ 2x + 2y + 3x - 2y = 10 \\ 5x = 10 \\  \frac{5x}{5}  =  \frac{10}{5}  \\ x = 2 \\  \\ 2x + 2y =  - 2 \\ 2 \times 2 + 2y =  - 2 \\ 4 + 2y =  - 2 \\ 2y =  - 2 - 4 \\ 2y =  - 6 \\  \frac{2y}{2}  =  \frac{ - 6}{2}  \\ y =  - 3 \\  now \: lets \: check \: whether \: this \: equation \: correct \\ 3x - 2y = 12 \\ 3 \times 2 - 2 \times  - 3 = 12 \\ 6 + 6 = 12 \\ 12 = 12 \\ yes \: its \: correct

Which of these is a tangent line to y= -x^2 at x=4
love history [14]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

an equation of this tangent is : y = f'(4)(x-a)+f(4)

a = f'(4)

f(x) = - x²

a=4

f'(x) = -2x

f'(4) = -2(4) = -8

f(4) = -(4)² = -16

so : y = - 8 (x-4)-16

  y = - 8x +16

Ryan throws a baseball upward with an initial velocity of 12 m/s from a height of 2m above the ground. How long will it take for
Sonja [21]

Answer:

It will take 2.6 s for the ball to hit the ground.

Step-by-step explanation:

This is a standard physics problem

The equation that defines the movement of Ryans baseball is given by the initial velocity, and the acceleration

Distance =  Do + Vo*t + 0.5*a*t^2

Where

Do is the initial distance.

(Do = 2m over the ground)

Vo is the initial velocity = 12m/s

a is the acceleration that is exerted on the body (in this case a = g = -9.8 m/s^2 )

t is the time

We substitute in the equation, and solve for t (time)

(0)=  2+ (12)*t + 0.5*(-9.8)*t^2

We get that

t = 2.606 s  = 2.6 s
