History

A Neolithic revolution is not a revolution in a fundamental sense. When people think of revolutions, they think of French people waving the tri-colour and yelling "Vive la revolucion!"

A Neolithic revolution is not this at all.

Rather, it is a major societal shift in technology, agriculture and farming. As people evolved, they stopped moving from place to place, living nomadic hunter gatherer lives, and began to establish permanent settlements. This is an example of a neolithic revolution. A neolithic revolution is a major event in - not just a countries history - but the history of mankind. It is when the very essence of human culture makes a drastic shift. Peoples begin farming and herding flocks to keep their food with them, rather than following their food around. Another name for "neolithic revolution" is "agricultural revolution"

As you can see, a neolithic revolution is a peaceful, gradual one, rather than a bloodied, swift one.

I hope this helps :)
