Answer:

Precipitation reactions

Explanation:

Hard water contain high amount of minerals like calcium and magnesium.  Water is turned hard, when it passes through limestone or chalk deposits that are majorly composed of bicarbonates of magnesium and calcium.

Precipitation reaction refer to the process that solidifies the insoluble ion particles in water. This solid product can be in the form of crystal or in powder form and it settles at the bottom of the water. The soluble products will still remain in the water.

The precipitation reactions is used to remove Calcium and magnesium ions from hard water. During this process, sodium carbonate or washing soda is added into the hard water which immobilize the Calcium and magnesium ions and results in the precipitation of these ions. This is because sodium chloride is solid, it will be removed and we will get soft water left.

Sodium Carbonate+Calcium Chloride  →  Sodium Chloride +Calcium Carbonate

Na2CO3 + CaCl2 → 2NaCl  +CaCO3

In this activity, you will identify portals of entry and exit found in a human host.
zhannawk [14.2K]
Portals of entry are the sites where micro-organisms can enter a host and reproduce, causing diseases or infections. There are various portals of entry in the human body. This can include the skin, our mucous membranes, and even our respiratory and gastrointestinal tracts. Portals of exit are where these micro-organisms leave and spread to other individuals. Portals of exit include coughing, sneezing, and some of our bodily fluids.

Help please answer fast!!!
Murljashka [212]

Answer:

A graph not only depends on the data that we are graphing, there are other important factors such as the units we use (here we have °C vs years, but we could have °F vs days and we would see a different graph, which represents the exact same information) , the scale we use (a lot of graphs are misleading because of the use of logarithmic scales, we need to be clear about the scales we use), where we put the zero of each axis (We usually use the intersection of both axes as the (0, 0) point, but this is not a necessary condition, we could manipulate our coordinate axis as we want) , etc.

So there are a lot of things that can impact on how we see the graph of the same data.

About the second answer, one could interpret from that graph that the actual temperature between the years 1880 and 2020 was around 14°C.

Lead is toxic, but do you know why?
nlexa [21]

Answer:

Lead is toxic mostly because during biochemical reactions it tries to substitute certain metals. hence while doing this, It disrupts with the proteins that control blood pressure, the production of heme and the formation of sperm. Through reactions that propagate electrical signals in the brain, lead often consumes calcium, which reduces the capacity to think and retrieve information.
