Answer: False.

Although there is no consensus as to the meaning of dreams (or whether dreams in fact mean anything), the most common dreams do not seem to be associated with modern aspects of life. Instead, they seem to arise from very primal experiences and fears, and are often found across different cultures and regions. For example, the most common dream is dreaming about being chased. This is a primitive fear found across all cultures. Other common dreams, such as being lost, drowning, flying or falling, are similarly experiences not associated with our modern lives.
