Mathematics

Answer:

3x - 13 +58 = 90, so 3x +45 = 90

Then 3x = 90 - 45 = 45 and x= 45/3 = 15.

m∠MNQ = 3x-13 = 3(15) - 13

                             =  45-13

                             =   32

one fourth of the 7th grade students made honor roll in the first quarter. the number of honor roll students increased by 18 in
Mandarinka [93]

1/4 of x students made the honor roll in the first quarter

1/4 of x plus 18 equals 105

1/4 x + 18 = 105

1/4 x + 18 - 18 = 105 - 18

1/4 x = 87

Reciprocal to isolate variable

4/1(1/4 x) = 87(4/1)

x = 348

There is a total of 348 students in 7th grade

What is the average rate of change of f(x), represented by the table of values, over the interval [-3,4]
77julia77 [94]

Answer:

Average rate of change = 3

Step-by-step explanation:

  • We know that the average rate of change is basically a measure of the slope of the  secant line  in the closed interval [a, b].

here   a = -3 and b = 4

  • f(b) = f(4) = 27
  • f(a) = f(-3) = 6

⇒ Average rate of change = f(b) - f(a)  / b - a

                                            = (27 - 6) / (4 - (-3))

                                            = 21 / 7

                                            = 3

Therefore, Average rate of change = 3
