I'm horrible at this so I'm just guessing.
X is the variable and x means multiplication symbol.
X + (X x 3 - 1) + (X x 3 - 1) - 4) <span>≥ 45 is the answer I got.
The answer to that inequality would be
X </span><span>≥  7 I think.</span>

The sum of two numbers is 79. Three
Semmy [17]

Answer:

<u>The two numbers are 23 and 56</u>

Step-by-step explanation:

Let's say the two numbers are A and B.

We are told:

1)  A+B=79

2) 3A+5B=283

Let's take the first expression and solve for A:

A+B=79

A=79-B

Now use this value of A in the second expression:

3A+5B=283

3(79-B)+5B=283

237-3B+5B=283

2B = 46

B = 23

Since B=23, we know from 1) that

A+B=79

A+23=79

A = 56

<u>CHECK:</u>

Does A+B=79?

        56+23 = 79?  <u>YES</u>

Does 3A+5B=283?

3(56)+5(23)=283

168  + 115 = 283?  <u>YES</u>

The distance between points P_1(x_1,y_1) and P_2(x_2,y_2) can be calculated using formula

P_1P_2=\sqrt{(x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2}.

1.

AB=\sqrt{(-7-(-11))^2+(8-4)^2}=\sqrt{16+16}=\sqrt{32}=4\sqrt{2}\approx 5.657.

2.

AC=\sqrt{(-4-(-11))^2+(4-4)^2}=\sqrt{49+0}=\sqrt{49}=7.

3.

CB=\sqrt{(-7-(-4))^2+(8-4)^2}=\sqrt{9+16}=\sqrt{25}=5.

Then

P_{ABC}=5.657+7+5=17.657\approx 17.7

Answer: correct choice is C.
