I think that you should start off with your most favorite colors. then, do a quote that inspires you. and try to do a abstract painting.

for example: "live and love loudly, share it and don't forget to dream big." that is the quote i go by and it inspires me.

Id make the landscape a tunnel in 3d since a 3d perspective is nice/ The tunnel would have a open drain thing like its under a freeway with monlight comign in so it makes it nighttime, and darker. This would give the person a eeriy and mysterious feeling for what is further down the tunnel and in the darkness.
