If you put two angles or more together, you add their total degrees to get the new angle. For subtraction, when you take a part off of a new angle you subtract the leaving one's degrees from the total of the one that is still there plus the angle that left. Hope this helps!

Answer:

Addition and subtraction can be used to put together and separate the measures of an angle and the parts of the angle by using the angles given to check for the supplementary or complementary angles as the case may be.

Angles are parts or sections of a complete circle. When a circle is divided into different angles, and the angles are now placed together, their sum will be 360 degrees. Complementary angle is gotten when the sum of two different angles have a total of 90 degress while supplementary angle is when the sum of two different angles is 180 degrees.

Example:

We have,

X + 80 = 180

X = 180 - 80

X = 100°

This is a case of looking for the other angle in a supplementary angle, when the value of one angle is 80 degrees.

The sets of numbers 3, 4, 5, and 8, 15, 17 are Pythagorean triples. Use what you know about the Pythagorean Theorem and explain
Leviafan [203]

Answer:

Pythagorean Theorom: a^2+b^2=c^2

Take the largest number of each as C (hypotenuse)

3,4,5

(3)^2+(4)^2= (5)^2

25=25

Therefore it is a Pythagorean Triple.

8,15,17

(8)^2+(15)^2=(17)^2

289=289

Therefore it is a Pythagorean Triple.
