Answer:

Fastidious

Explanation:

Words from the same language that have the same or similar meanings are called synonyms. In this case, we are looking for synonyms of the words dainty/squeamish.

The word dainty means of delicate taste, easily disgusted.

If someone is squeamish, they are easily upset, shocked, or disgusted by things they find unpleasant or don't approve of.

The word with the similar meaning is fastidious, meaning paying attention to small details and wanting everything to be correct and perfect, or having high standards, difficult to please. In dictionaries, it is often listed as a synonym of dainty.

The rest of the words don't have similar meanings.

A vixen is a female fox.

If something is cryptic, it is mysterious.

Mortified means extremely embarrassed.

Which words in this excerpt from "The Raven" by Edgar Allan Poe create an ominous and spooky atmosphere?
andrew11 [14]
Words such as 'bleak', 'dying', 'wrought', 'ghost', and 'sorrow' create an ominous and spooky atmosphere in "The Raven". These words have negative connotations, meaning that the words sound dark and frightening to the reader. For instance, if you wanted to create a spooky atmosphere in the following sentence, you might replace the verb with another word that has a more negative connotation.

A chill passed through the room.
A chill crept across the room.

While both sentences mean essentially the same thing, the second sentence sounds scarier because the verb has a more negative connotation.

Hope this helps!

Studentka2010 [4]

What would be a good example of how Romeo and Juliet's love is tragic(excluding how they die at the end and how they are from se
Eddi Din [679]
Well for one I think their immaturity didn't help the situation. Their love was a lot like puppy love in the sense that it was their first time dealing with a relationship and therefore didn't know how to handle issues that were thrown at them. At the same time, some of the other characters may disagree because "young love is the best love" in the sense that it is pure and innocent.
