So based off of the graph we know that the slope is -1 and the line intercepts the y-axis at +4 so using the formula y_mx+b where m=slope and b=y-intercept the correct formula would be y>=-x+4, but bc we aren't just looking for the formula therefore the correct answer is b.<span />

Which of the following are solutions to the equation below?<br><br> x^2-2x-24-0
Dominik [7]

Answer:

x=-4

x=6

Step-by-step explanation:

Lets put to work the well known quadratic equation:

x=\frac{-b+/- \sqrt{b^{2}-4ac } }{2a}

Let us also, remember the given equation: x^2-2x-24=0

Where 'a' would be equals to 1, 'b' equals to -2 and c equals to -24.

The quadratic equations with those values is:

\frac{2 +/- \sqrt{4+96} }{2}

Where we obtain two values.

x1= -4

and x2= 6

A triangular prism is 20 millimeters long and has a triangular face with a base of 24 millimeters and a height of 16 millimeters
uysha [10]

Answer:

The surface area of the prism is 1,664\ mm^{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

The surface area of the triangular prism is equal to

SA=2B+PL

where

B is the area of the triangular face

P is the perimeter of the triangular face

L is the length of the triangular prism

<em>Find the area of the triangular face B</em>

B=\frac{1}{2}(24)(16)= 192\ mm^{2}

<em>Find the perimeter of the triangular face P</em>

P=(24+20+20)= 64\ mm

we have

L=20\ mm

substitute the values

SA=2(192)+(64)(20)=1,664\ mm^{2}
