Distance = 3000 km
car consumes 6 liters per 100 km.....(3000/100) * 6 = 30 * 6 = 180 liters
180 liters at 1.20 per liter = (180 * 1.20) = $ 216
split between 4 people = 216/4 = $ 54 per person
so each person should chip in $ 54

Answer:

<em>Each of you should chip in </em><em>$5.4</em>

Step-by-step explanation:

You are going on a road trip over a distance of 300 km with three friends.

The car consumes 6 liters of gas per 100 km and gas costs $1.20 per liter.

For 100 km the car consumes 6 liter of fuel, so for 300 km it will consume

=\dfrac{6}{100}\times 300\\\\=18\ lit

For 1 liter of gas it costs $1.20, so for 18 liters it will cost

=\dfrac{1.2}{1}\times 18\\\\=\$21.6

As total 4 persons are there, so each will contribute

=\dfrac{21.6}{4}\\\\=\$5.4

Elena L [17]

Answer:

First, we find how many red beads there are:

2 + 1 + 3 = 6

12 - 6 = 6

Red beads = 6

Now we add the red beads and the purple beads:

Purple beads = 3

Red beads = 6

3 + 6 = 9

9/12 = 3/4

Hope this helps!

Each square in the grid is a unit square with an area of 1 square unit.

We just count squares.  Those two half-squares will add to one whole square.  So this is a 3x4 rectangle plus a triangle of area 2.

Let w(s,t)=f(u(s,t),v(s,t)) where u(1,0)=−6,∂u∂s(1,0)=5,∂u∂1(1,0)=7 v(1,0)=−8,∂v∂s(1,0)=−8,∂v∂t(1,0)=6 ∂f∂u(−6,−8)=−1,∂f∂v(−6,−8
Blababa [14]
w(s,t)=f(u(s,t),v(s,t))

From the given set of conditions, it's likely that you are asked to find the values of \dfrac{\partial w}{\partial s} and \dfrac{\partial w}{\partial t} at the point (s,t)=(1,0).

By the chain rule, the partial derivative with respect to s is

\dfrac{\partial w}{\partial s}=\dfrac{\partial f}{\partial u}\dfrac{\partial u}{\partial s}+\dfrac{\partial f}{\partial v}\dfrac{\partial v}{\partial s}

and so at the point (1,0), we have

\dfrac{\partial w}{\partial s}\bigg|_{(s,t)=(1,0)}=\dfrac{\partial f}{\partial &#10;u}\bigg|_{(u,v)=(-6,-8)}\dfrac{\partial u}{\partial s}\bigg|_{(s,t)=(1,0)}+\dfrac{\partial f}{\partial &#10;v}\bigg|_{(u,v)=(-6,-8)}\dfrac{\partial v}{\partial s}\bigg|_{(s,t)=(1,0)}
\dfrac{\partial w}{\partial s}\bigg|_{(s,t)=(1,0)}=(-1)(5)+(2)(-8)=-21

Similarly, the partial derivative with respect to t would be found via

\dfrac{\partial w}{\partial t}\bigg|_{(s,t)=(1,0)}=\dfrac{\partial f}{\partial &#10;u}\bigg|_{(u,v)=(-6,-8)}\dfrac{\partial u}{\partial t}\bigg|_{(s,t)=(1,0)}+\dfrac{\partial f}{\partial &#10;v}\bigg|_{(u,v)=(-6,-8)}\dfrac{\partial v}{\partial t}\bigg|_{(s,t)=(1,0)}
\dfrac{\partial w}{\partial t}\bigg|_{(s,t)=(1,0)}=(-1)(7)+(2)(6)=5
