China’s Tang dynasty golden age is routinely described as one of the most brilliant eras in Chinese history. Under this dynasty, China was the wealthiest and the most sophisticated civilization.  It was an imperial dynasty of China preceded by the Sui dynasty and followed by the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period.
