Mineral deposits in streams may be extracted by dredging.

Dredging is an excavation method by which sediments and debris are removed from the bottom of water bodies such as streams, lakes, sea, rivers etc. This method is carried out by using a specialist floating plant called dredger and the method is used for several purposes such as to recover useful or valuable substances (such as minerals) or to produce a higher depth of water.

Larry is a 39-year-old male who is overweight. he is working with a registered dietitian nutritionist and she has recommended an
alexgriva [62]

The right answer is 202.5 - 292.5 grams of carbohydrates a day.

The man's caloric requirements are around 2500 calories / day. So the subject tries to create a calorie deficit.

1 gram of carbohydrate equals 4 calories.

45% - 65% of the calorie intake (1800kcal) corresponds to 0.810 - 1.170 Kcal. (810 and 1170 calories).

So:

4 calories ==> 1 gram of carbohydrates

810 calories ==> 810/4 = 202.5 grams of carbohydrates

1170 calories ==> 1170/4 = 292.5 grams of carbohydrates.

So, the subject must consume between 202.5 and 292.5 grams of carbohydrates a day.

Which describes a population depending on an abiotic factor?
andrew11 [14]

Answer: is C). Coral reef organisms carry out photosynthesis using the sunlight that passes through the clear water above.

Explanation:

In ecosystem, an abiotic factor is any non-living factor that influences the biotic factors and the population. Following are the examples of abiotic factors namely, atmosphere, chemical elements, sunlight, wind, water. some are also given below:

 • sunlight
 • oxygen
 • nitrogen
 • climate
 • temperature
 • pH and Water

Option C: is the only right option as it falls under the criteria of relationship between abiotics and biotc factors. Here abiotic factor is sinlight and abiotic factor is coral leaf. All other options are related to biotic factors (living things that shape an ecosystem). Examples of biotic factors are animals, plants, bacteria and fungi

Option A: description of predator and it's prey (biotic factor)

Option B: Also relationship between two living things i.e. squirrels and bird's eggs (biotic factor)

Option D: Comparison between two plants (biotic factor)

In a certain population of rabbits, the allele for brown fur
Kisachek [45]

The allele frequency for the recessive allele is B. 0.10. Thus, option "B" is correct.

How, explain your answer?

The Hardy-Weinburg equation is p + q = 1, or p^2 + 2pq + q^2 = 1, where p is dominant and q is recessive.

If 10 out of 100 rabbits have white fur, 10% of the rabbits have white fur. Therefore, 90% of the rabbits have brown fur, which can be substituted into the first equation to becoming 0.9 + 0.1 = 1. Now that we know what p and q equal, we can solve the rest of the equation.

0.9^2 = 0.81

0.9 * 0.1 * 2 = 0.18

0.1^2 = 0.01

Therefore, the allele frequency of the recessive allele is 0.1.
