The correct answer to this open question is the following.

Americans’ viewpoints differ on the cause and legacy of the US Civil War in that there is always different perspectives and sides of the story, according to particular interests and circumstances.

People from lived different political and economic conditions that the south. To understand the north we need to consider the industry, education level, and social background of people.

To understand slavery in the South, we need to consider the economic value that slavery represented for the Confederated States.

The plantation system in the South -growing crops- was the most important economic activity in the region. So slaves were an important part to produce crops. Plantation owners depended on the work of slaves in the farm fields. Then, is not hard to understand why southern always opposed to the liberation of slaves. And of course, at the same time, that is why it really was very difficult for the Civil Rights movement to end racial discrimination and get equal rights protected by the United States Constitution.

So before expressing an opinion on either side, it is necessary to understand the circumstances and the conditions that moved people to act the way they acted.

Vadim26 [7]
The correct answer would be the Espionage Act of 1917.

The Supreme Court decided, unanimously mind you, that the Espionage Act of 1917 was constitutional and that the defendants who took upon themselves to distribute flyers about resisting induction to the men who are of age to be drafted can be convicted of obstructing the draft.
