 Women and children are typically hut the hardest by poverty and life in refugee camps. Often victims of sexual abuse and other crimes. Women are subjected to all these problems in addition to gender specific issues they also face.

It is a process that is still going on, and it seems that manages to properly perform a cultural assimilation of the Tibetans.
