Remember
x^0=1

also
(x^n)(x^m)=x^{n+m}

and
if a^n=a^m where a=a, then assume that n=m
so

(x^3)^0=(x^5)(x^n)
1=x^{5+n}
we know that x^0=1
therefor
x^0=x^{5+n}
x^0=x^(5+n) therefor
0=5+n
minus 5 from both sides
-5=n

I can't solve for x since it will be eliminated

n=-5

Nicole is rolling a dice for a probability project. What is the theoretical probability that she will roll a 1 or a 4? Write you
Alex777 [14]

Answer:

\frac{1}{3}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: Nicole is rolling a dice for a probability project

To find: theoretical probability that she will roll a 1 or a 4

Solution:

Theoretical probability expresses the chances that something will occur. It is equal to the number of favorable outcomes divided by the total number of outcomes.

Total number of outcomes = 6

Theoretical probability that she will roll a 1 or a 4 = \frac{1}{6} +\frac{1}{6} =\frac{2}{6}=\frac{1}{3}
