Answer:

Imposed an embargo on shipping war goods and petroleum products to Japan

Explanation:

In the 1920-30s, Japan main economic was in difficulty lacking enough raw materials. Japan needed raw materials like oil, iron, rubber to maintain strong economic growth. The Japanese considered that taking territories with rich resources would establish economic self-support and independence. At the beginning of the 1930s, Japan belligerently extended the territories winning across parts of China, attacking territories which were claimed by the Soviet Union. These all led United States to take action against Japan's aggressive actions in the Pacific.

Can you think of an equivalent of sharia law in another religion or societal group?
beks73 [17]

Answer:

Malaysia is often held up as a model nation that blends modern secular institutions with a tolerant brand of Islam. Sharia, or Islamic law, is followed but in the context of a constitutional framework. A recent decision, however, by Malaysia’s high court refusing to recognize a Muslim woman’s conversion to Christianity has called into question the country’s freedom of religion and multi-faith identity. Similar cases in Afghanistan, Egypt, and Jordan also have aroused concern among Western-based rights groups about Islam’s compatibility with democracy.

What has been the main cause of air pollution in Britain? What has the country done to correct these problems?
Marianna [84]

Answer:

In the UK, high pollution levels are sometimes caused by dust blown from the Sahara desert.

Other sources of air pollution include: sources of smoke, including cigarette smoke, burning fuel in houses for heating or cooking, emissions from power generation, industry and farming.

The UK government has plans to improve pollution due to traffic, and is banning the sale of new fossil fuel cars by 2040, and is phasing out the use of coal in its electrical power generation.
