Kristen goes on a tour with her family. they climb down to 8 meter below ground level. then they climb the opposite of -8 meters

to return to ground level. what is the total number of meter they climbed (in either direction )?

8+8 = 16 this is the answer

16 meters

because they went 8 down, then 8 up (even if it is -8).

8 + 8 = 16

So, they climbed 16 meters.
