ich filled it with water at a rate of 5 gal per hour. After 10 hours, horses and cows started drinking the water at a rate of 2 gal/hr. 10 hours : 10*5 = 50 gallons

15 hours: amount in pool + hose * 5 hours - drinking*5 hours

      = 50 +5*5 - 2*5 = 50+25-10  = 65 gallons

100 = amount in pool + 1st hose*hrs - drinking*hrs + 2nd hose*hrs

hrs is after the 15 hours already filling the pool

100 = 65 gallons + 5*h -2h +4h

combine like terms

100 =65 +7h

subtract 65

35 = 7h

divide by 7

h=5

add the 15 hours before

20 hours to fill the pool

1pm + 20 hrs

24 hrs would be 1pm again so subtract 4 hours

9 am the next day

Could someone help with 14 I know it’s not a Consecutive interior but it could be A) alternate interior B) alternate exterior C)
GenaCL600 [577]
1, 4, 6, and 7 are all alternate exterior angles because they are crossed by the transversal line through the middle and they are all on the outside, or exterior, and they are alternate, or opposite. they would be congruent only if they are parallel.

Which statements are true about the decimal 0.4 and 0.06
forsale [732]

None of the statements seem to be true. Essentially, the following should be true

0.4>0.06 because 4/10 > 6/100

0.4 > 0.06 because 4 tenths is greater than 6 hundredths

Step-by-step explanation:

To decide which decimal number is bigger, we first check the whole numbers (on the left of the decimal point). If the whole numbers are similar we move to the tenths number (on the right of the decimal point)

We compare the tenths numbers. Whichever has the greatest number is the greater of th two decimal numbers.

If the tenths numbers are similar, we move to the hundredths. The one with the largest number is the greater of the two.

If they are similar we move to the thousandths number and so on...

until we can resolve the two numbers
