During the purchased of Medeco for their goods for 250 and subsequently returned the 50 dollars and was paid within term of sale given then Medeco is only obliged to pay 196 dollars to their supplier. This is because initially they have 250 credit but it was deducted byu 50 because of returned then it gives us 200 credits but then there is a 2 percent discount within 10 days to less 2 percent it is equal to 196 dollars

For i≥1 , let Xi∼G1/2 be distributed Geometrically with parameter 1/2 . Define Yn=1n−−√∑i=1n(Xi−2) Approximate P(−1≤Yn≤2) with l
murzikaleks [220]

Answer:

The answer is "0.68".

Step-by-step explanation:

Given value:

X_i \sim \frac{G_1}{2}

E(X_i)=2 \\

Var (X_i)= \frac{1- \frac{1}{2}}{(\frac{1}{2})^2}\\

             = \frac{ \frac{2-1}{2}}{\frac{1}{4}}\\\\= \frac{ \frac{1}{2}}{\frac{1}{4}}\\\\= \frac{1}{2} \times \frac{4}{1}\\\\= \frac{4}{2}\\\\=2

Now we calculate the \bar X \sim N(2, \sqrt{\frac{2}{n}})\\

\to \frac{\bar X - 2}{\sqrt{\frac{2}{n}}} \sim N(0, 1)\\

\to \sum^n_{i=1} \frac{X_i - 2}{n} \times\sqrt{\frac{n}{2}}} \sim N(0, 1)\\\\\to \sum^n_{i=1} \frac{X_i - 2}{\sqrt{2n}} \sim N(0, 1)\\

\to Z_n = \frac{1}{\sqrt{n}} \sum^n_{i=1} (X_i -2) \sim N(0, 2)\\

\to P(-1 \leq X_n \leq 2) = P(Z_n \leq Z) -P(Z_n \leq -1) \\\\

                               = 0.92 -0.24\\\\= 0.68

I dont understand this, can i get some help please
Ray Of Light [21]

When we want to find the roots of a one-variable function, we look for where its graph intersects the x-axis. In this case, the graph intersects the x-axis at x=1.

The vertex of a parabola is the highest or lowest point on it, depending on whether the leading coefficient of the quadratic function is negative or positive. In this case, we see that the lowest point is (1,0).

For the y-intercept, just look for where the graph intersects the y-axis; in this case, that point is (0,1).

Using this information, the vertex-form equation of the parabola is y=1\cdot(x-1)^2+0, so the factors are two copies of x-1. In this case, the value of a in the equation y=a(x-h)^2+k was conveniently 1; if that's not the case, you'll want to plug in x=0 to solve for the value of a that gives the correct y-intercept.

Does that help clear things up?

Explain the tangent line problem
ale4655 [162]

The Tangent Line Problem  1/3How do you find the slope of the tangent line to a function at a point Q when you only have that one point? This Demonstration shows that a secant line can be used to approximate the tangent line. The secant line PQ connects the point of tangency to another point P on the graph of the function. As the distance between the two points decreases, the secant line becomes closer to the tangent line.
