The problem is asking me to graph this equation by plotting points but idk how to get the points y=1/4 x+3

In the y intercept go up 3 and your slope you go 1 up 4 right

What you want to do is chose any random number, lets start with 0

this is your 'x value', so you plug 0 into x in the equation

thus the equation looks like: y = (1/4)(0) +3

simplifies to y=3 

now find the 0 mark on the horizontal x-axis, and on the vertical y-axis find the 3

then draw a dot that is on the line going up from the 0 mark on the horizontal axis, and then on that line put the dot where the line y=3 intersects it. then you can do the exact same process for another number, try 3, and them use a straight edge to draw a straight line in between them and then you are done!
