Psychiatrists are medically certified in psychiatry, meaning that they can prescribe medication while social workers and psychologists can not. Further more they also have a broad caseload, but also my have a specific area of expertise. Psychologists however study the human mind as apposed to mental illnesses in fact few even handle actual patients. Social workers however help people solve and cope with problems in their everyday lives.
