Kinkeepers are family members who strive to ensure that other members of the family stay connected. They also strive to preserve family tradition and history. In most cases, it is the oldest female member of the family that assumes the role of kinkeeping. But that doesn't rule out the fact that anyone can play the role regardless of age and sex.
