The Holy Roman Emperor Charles V was the ruler of Europe during the 16th century. Throughout his life, he earned several titles across Europe. As he gains power, his idea to unite the catholic empire became essential. Throughout his life, he followed the Catholic church and imprisoned several princes who followed Lutheranism. He was against the rise of the protestant in Europe, especially in Germany and after the Diet of Worms in 1521 Martin Luther was declared an outlaw. Therefore it was Emperor Charles V duty to decided if the territory would practice Catholic faith or Protestant.
The goal of President Franklin Roosevelt's foreign policy focused on moving the United States from isolation to intervention. He started this movement cautiously by establishing diplomatic relations and opening trade markets with the Soviet Union and Latin American through the Good Neighbor Policy.
