John Proctor had an affair with the woman that accused him and his wife of withccraft because she was so jealos of her wife and wanted her life, and he wanted to confess this affair and take the power off Abigail, the woman that acuses them of witchcraft, and making it a passional crime and lie, but he thins to highly of himself and his reputation so he looks for a way to make other see that Abigail is lying and jelous, but then he realizes that is already too late and that not even confesing the affair would help him save his life, he was hanged in 1692, accused and convected for witchcraft.
